LI Wellness Challenge Monthly Report!In July, the overall winner, taking the lead in three categories, was Leviton! They beat out the competition in such categories as 'Most Lunch & Learn Seminars', 'Highest Attendance of Lunch & Learn Seminars', and 'Most Healthy Workplace Programs Implemented'. H2M wasn't far behind in this months competition, dominating the two categories: 'Most Healthy Workplace Programs Being Developed' and 'Highest Average Steps per Person.'In June, the overall winner of the LI Wellness Challenge was EAC,Inc.! They won two categories: 'Most Healthy Workplace Programs Implemented' and ' Most Healthy Workplace Programs Being Developed'. H2M took the lead in 'Most Employees Enrolled in Online Programs', while Leviton claimed first place for 'Most Lunch & Learn Seminars.'

Subcommittees:
Task Force Update
The LI Wellness Challenge is well under way with 22 companies and 7,200 employees involved. Leaders of the Challenge are posted on the Action Long Island website, headed by EAC Inc. as the overall leader for the month of June, Leviton with the most Lunch & Learn Seminars and H2M with the most online registrations of their employees to the American Heart Association Web site. With so many participating companies requesting lunch and learns, the Healthcare Task Force will be expanding on this wonderful benefit for the next session, adding more seminar offerings and speakers. The Healthcare Task Force is also soliciting for topics of interest for those signing up for the 2nd Challenge to bring them the most desired and pertinent information available.
The Healthcare Task Force is working on the Awards Ceremony for the first round of the Wellness Challenge, scheduled for November 18th, 2010 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Details will follow.
Coordination of the Women's Health Event is in process. The "Ladies Night Out" is scheduled for November 3, from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Author Laurie Puhn will be our guest speaker, and a fashion show will be held. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
