Richard Kessel, NYPA President and C.E.O.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25
CREST HOLLOW COUNTRY CLUB - 8:00-10:00 AM

Long Islanders find themselves at an energy opportunity crossroad.

Many different stars have aligned that could take us into a brighter future.

LI’s own, Richard Kessel is now in charge of the New York Power Authority, and is considering many power options. From purchasing the National Grid generating capacity, looking at LIPA’s transmission and distribution system, bringing us lower cost upstate hydro, and also windmills.

LI’s own Bob Catell is now the Chairman of the
Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center at Stony Brook University. Their mission is working toward a secure energy supply, a cleaner environment, and continued economic development with cutting edge technologies to explore new ways for production of clean energy, enhance production from renewable sources, and find efficient methods for distribution and storage of energy with minimal impact on the local eco systems.
